My Hero Academia - America / My Hero America is a setting that I wanted to explore and develop, with a cast of mostly original characters. My plans for this setting are similar to some degree with the alternative universe’s that I’ve made for Bleach, though in the case of this MHA one I wish for it to be something that’s derived from the canon series, to some degree. With the structure of the MHA series, and the fact that there’s so much that we don’t know about with the hero society in America, I feel like there’s so much room to play around with, while being able to respect and abide by the source material as much as possible. I consider it unlikely that I’m the first MHA fan to come up with the idea for this kind of setting, and I imagine someone can easily come up with a more interesting premise and cast of characters that I can, but this is still my take on a MHA series based in America. The character Akira Takeda has existed for a pretty long time now, with me creating him back in 2008 or 2009, with him going through various revisions and updates over the years.
